Design Thinking is NOT Entrepreneurship

January 25th, 2015

RemyCoverEntrepreneurial Thinking (ET), User Experience (UX), and its close relative Design Thinking (DT), have in recent years become hot topics in startup communities. Having advised hundreds of entrepreneurs in the last three years, CU-Boulder’s Remy Arteaga, Director of the Leeds School Deming Center for Entrepreneurship, has found that, despite the popularity of books on topics like business model canvas and lean startup, entrepreneurs too often pick up the concepts and terminology of ET and UX/DT without internalizing the fundamental principles necessary for success.

Remy, and his colleague Dr. Michael Siepmann, have submitted a paper on how to correctly view these concepts and drive greater entrepreneurial success. See it here or in the “Innovation Insights” section on our home page.
